Biographical Note
B. Sc. Honours degree in Chemical Engineering from the Higher Engineering Institute of Lisbon (ISEL), he has also completed a specialisation in safety engineering and has specific training in the field of appraisal and measurement of industrial and environmental noise.
In terms of auditing, he has training and qualification as a coordinating auditor of quality management systems (ISO 9001), environmental management systems (ISO 14001) and safety management systems (OHSAS 18001). He is also a Lead Tutor in the courses, LAC EMS - ISO 14001, certified by IEMA and IRCA and LAC OH&S (OHSAS 18001), certified by IRCA. Working as a coordinating auditor for several years, he intervenes in various sectors including the building construction sector, manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment, manufacturing of metals and metallic products, paper and pulp manufacturing, cement manufacturing and landfills of urban solid residues and non-harmful industrial residues.
As a Verifier, he is accredited by the Institute of the Environment for EMAS and CELE Verification, and has pursued extensive activities in this field.
He is a member of the Environmental Management Technical Commission CT150 of the Institute of the Environment, which is responsible for monitoring and drawing up various norms related to environmental audits.
