Biographical Note

Managing Director of PGA Design Consulting Limited (PGADC), acting on behalf of The Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) and Ireland in matters of design, development and consultancy worldwide.

Trained as an architect and worked in landscape architecture for many years before becoming involved in golf design and then large scale urban and masterplanning projects. Became responsible for the design and delivery of the then largest chain of golf resorts across Europe.

Manages a large multidisciplinary office dealing with masterplanning, golf design, architecture, landscape design, project management golf operations and consultancy worldwide.

Has been consulted by numerous governments on golf development strategies and have been involved in over 300 golf projects from China to Cuba and Norway to Indonesia

He is the author of numerous publications including the “Safety Guidelines for Golf Course Design”, “Golf Driving Ranges - A Design Guide” and the “Guide to practice facilities” produced for the PGA, the English Golf Union, The Ladies PGA and approved by Sport England. These guides have been used in many European court cases. He also acts as an Expert Witness in golf accident cases.
