Biographical Note

In February, 2008, Salvador Lucena assumed the position of Managing Director of Monte Rei Golf & Country Club. Trained in Hotel Techniques and Management at the Oporto Hotelry and Tourism School in 1991, he has extensive international hotel experience. In addition to Portugal, he has worked in England, Spain, Russia and Belize.

Over the last four years he has worked in Madeira for the Porto Bay Group, where he has performed functions as Operations Director of Hotel Cliff Bay, Corporate Director of F&B for the group and Managing Director of the Vila Porto Mare resort.

He previously exercised F&B management functions in the Luxury Collection (Starwood - Spain) for three years and in the Four Seasons (Ritz Lisbon) for four years.

During the early years of his career he also had other various professional experiences including an Eco-resort in Belize (Caribbean), catering in Russia and independent restaurants in London and Lisbon.
