Turismo de Portugal’s Campaign awarded at the New York Festivals Advertising Awards

​​​​​The Building Wave campaign of Turismo de Portugal, which for 15 days put Times Square, in New York, digitally surfing the biggest wave in the world, won 3rd place in the New York Festivals Advertising Awards, in the Branded Content/Entertainment competition, in the Outdoor category. 

The 24.38 metre wave surfed in Nazaré by the Brazilian surfer Rodrigo Koxa was projected on LED screens on a building of the same size, located in the emblematic North American square. The aim was to promote the destination and its differentiated offer under the Portuguese Waves brand, within the scope of the Tourism Strategy 2027, the strategic reference for tourism in Portugal in the coming years.
