For the second year running, Turismo de Portugal won the Best Destination award at the Routes Europe 2025 Awards, at a ceremony held in Aarhus, Denmark. This award celebrates excellence in destination marketing, recognising the entities that drive the growth of air connectivity.
This recognition highlights the work carried out by airlines, airports, and destinations, along with their continuing strategy for 2025.
Through concerted efforts, including creating incentives, identifying gaps in the market and engaging in joint marketing campaigns, Turismo de Portugal has achieved significant success in developing routes and sustained growth in connectivity. This award recognises the efforts and work done in the last decade, in close collaboration with partner airlines, to provide sustainable routes.
The finalists in the “Destination" category were assessed by a panel of airline judges who rated the destinations that they consider to have offered the best marketing support in the last twelve months.
