Turismo de Portugal is a finalist in seven nominations at the
2025 Hospitality Education Awards, the benchmark awards in the tourism and hospitality education sector. The awards ceremony will take place on 1 October, in Lisbon. The Hospitality Education Awards (HEA), promoted by the Fórum Turismo 21 Association, aim to recognise excellence in tourism and hospitality training in Portugal. These awards highlight projects, institutions and professionals that contribute significantly to the sector’s development through pedagogical innovation, community engagement and the empowerment of future professionals.
In the 2025 edition, Turismo de Portugal stands out with nominations in two main categories: Best Innovation Project and Best Educational Project, with seven finalist initiatives developed by the Tourism of Portugal Schools, demonstrating the institution’s commitment to high-quality training aligned with the sector’s challenges and emerging trends.
In the Best Innovation Project category, the nominated initiatives are:
_ Espumar, from the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Portimão
_ Mezze Escola, developed in partnership between the Schools of Hospitality and Tourism of Lisbon and Porto
_ Gastromar - R&D, from the School of Hospitality and Tourism of the Algarve
_ GERAt, a cross-cutting project from the Turismo de Portugal Schools
In the Best Educational Project category, the finalists are:
_ Improvável, from the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Portalegre
_ 2B4U Spot, from the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Lisbon
These nominations reflect the recognition of the quality, originality and impact of the projects promoted by the Turismo de Portugal Schools, both in terms of pedagogical content and their contribution to the sector’s sustainable and inclusive development.
