It was with deep emotion and dismay that the Board of Directors of Turismo de Portugal and its employees learnt of the tragic accident that took place in the Glória Lift in Lisbon, which resulted in a large number of fatalities and serious injuries, including foreign nationals.
Turismo de Portugal is deeply saddened by this tragedy and sends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and to all those who, directly or indirectly, suffer from this loss, as well as its solidarity in the recovery of all those injured.
The Institute also expresses its gratitude and appreciation to all the organisations involved in the rescue and support of the victims and accompanies the city of Lisbon in its grief at this difficult time of mourning.
