The Lisbon School of Hospitality and Tourism (EHT) hosted a ceremony to hand out diplomas to 178 migrants who had completed the Integrate for Tourism Programme. On 6 October, course completion certificates were handed out to 37 migrants trained at the Estoril EHT, 48 at the Setúbal EHT and 93 at the Lisbon EHT. The session was attended by representatives of the government and the promoting organisations, namely Turismo de Portugal, the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA) and the Portuguese Tourism Confederation (CTP).
As of July 2025, the Integrate for Tourism Programme has had 555 trainees attending various courses from the Turismo de Portugal network of schools, 299 of whom have already completed their internships and are currently in the Portuguese labour market.
The strong support of the business community, represented by the Portuguese Tourism Confederation (CTP), is one of the pillars of success of this initiative, which has 329 companies in the sector signed up. New training courses are already scheduled for October, demonstrating the commitment to the Integrate for Tourism Programme and its important objective of providing a structured response to the talent needs of the national tourism sector, while promoting the professional and social integration of migrant citizens in Portugal.
