The network of Turismo de Portugal schools will be present at Futurália – the Education, Training and Employability Fair, taking place from 11 to 14 March in Lisbon, and at Qualifica - the Education, Training, Youth and Employment Fair- from 25 to 28 March at Exponor in Porto.
At both events, the Hospitality and Tourism Schools (EHT) will be represented with a dedicated stand, where visitors will have the opportunity to find out about the training programmes on offer, ask questions about the courses and speak directly to students, trainers and teaching staff. It will also be an opportunity to discover the various training programmes and areas of specialisation, as well as to understand how training in tourism can open doors to diverse careers in Portugal and around the world.
The network of 12 schools spread across the country plays a central role in training qualified professionals for a sector that continues to establish itself as one of the main drivers of the national economy and an important labour market for the younger generation.
Participation in these fairs therefore aims to bring young people closer to the tourism sector, raising awareness of the various training pathways available and the career opportunities in a dynamic, international and constantly evolving field.
Recently, the work carried out by the network of schools was also recognised with the Award for Excellence in Training at the Portugal Trade Awards, an initiative promoted by Publituris, reinforcing the sector’s recognition of the quality of the training model and the schools’ contribution to the development of the tourism sector in Portugal.
