Turismo de Portugal received two awards at the People Engagement Awards 2026 ceremony, held on 17 March at Quinta da Pimenteira in Lisbon, as part of the People Engagement Summit 2026 – an event that marked the presentation of the results of the 10th edition of the People Engagement Survey.
The organisation took first place in the macro-sector of Hospitality, Tourism, Sport, Education and Community Services and fourth place in the Large Companies category, distinctions that position Turismo de Portugal amongst the national organisations with the best people management practices. These results reflect the organisation’s ongoing investment in the well-being, professional development and engagement of its teams.
Turismo de Portugal was represented at the session by Ana Paula Pais (Directorate for Skills Management and Training), who took part in the panel discussion - From check-in to check-out: non-seasonal engagement in the tourism sector - which addressed the sector’s specific challenges, namely managing team engagement in a context marked by seasonality and fundamental technological and organisational changes.
These awards recognise organisations participating in the People Engagement Survey for exemplary practices in people management, with a particular focus on the work experience, well-being and humanisation of professional relationships.
