Portugal will be present at the World Travel Market (WTM), the largest British tourism fair and one of the most important worldwide, to be held from 1 to 3 November in London. National participation is coordinated by Turismo de Portugal and includes 63 suppliers, plus two in virtual format, and the seven Regional Tourism Promotion Agencies (Porto and North, Central Region, Lisbon, Alentejo, Algarve, Madeira and Azores), which occupy a stand of 812 square metres dedicated to the promotion of the destination.
In parallel, the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rita Marques, and the President of Turismo de Portugal, Luís Araújo, will travel to the market, where they will maintain an agenda of contacts with the various entities linked to the sector, from business associations to airlines, and also including several trade representatives.
The presence at WTM complements a set of promotional actions that are being developed in this market, the largest emitter of tourists to Portugal, responsible for 297 thousand guests, 1.3 million overnight stays and 753 million euros in revenue between January and August 2021.
