Turismo de Portugal awards ten Luís Patrão Scholarships totalling 500 thousand euros

​Turismo de Portugal has awarded ten more Luís Patrão Scholarships. The award ceremony for the second edition of this initiative took place on 28 October at the Tourism Technology Incubation Centre, located on the campus of the Estoril Hotel and Tourism School. 

As part of the ceremony, Tim Vieira, businessman, entrepreneur, investor and CEO of Brave Generation Academy, gave a speech on "The Best is Yet to Come: Be Brave", with the aim of addressing the challenges and opportunities of the tourism sector, as well as the practical and intellectual skills essential for promoting a solid career in this industry. 

The session ended with a speech by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Trade and Services, Pedro Machado. 

In this second edition, the breakdown of the ten Luís Patrão scholarships awarded was as follows: six scholarships for postgraduate study, masters and MBA (category A) and four scholarships for specialisation abroad (category B).​

The 10 scholarship holders of the Luís Patrão Scholarship - 2025 edition 

For the postgraduate, master's and MBA scholarships, with a maximum value of €50,000.00 per student, the following were selected:

_ André Filipe Nogueira da Rocha, no MBA - INSEAD, em Singapura|Dubai|Paris; 
_ João Bernardo Pereira Guerra de Sousa no MBA – Católica – NOVA; 
_ João Neves Catarino no MBA – Católica – NOVA; 
_ Patrícia Malafaya Baptista no MBA – IE University, Madrid; 
_ Inês da Rosa Ferreira no MBA – ISCTE; 
_ Daniela Fernandes Machado no MBA – Porto Business School.

Regarding scholarships for specialised vocational training abroad, with a maximum value of €50,000.00 per student, the following were selected: 

_ Carolina da Graça Fernandes Reis - Master of Science in Marketing and Management for Luxury Tourism, Les Roches, Marbella; 
_ Beatriz Sofia Pereira Prego - Master of Science in International Hotel Management, Les Roches, Marbella; 
_ Daniel Luciano Trinchete - Bachelor of Arts in International Hotel Management, Suisse Management School, Leysin; 
_ Tomás Tempera Alexandre - Advanced Studies in International Hospitality Manage​ment, Les Roches, Marbella.

Through this second edition of the Luís Patrão Scholarship, Turismo de Portugal is reinforcing its commitment to training excellence in the tourism sector.
