Turismo de Portugal awarded 1st prize by ISTO for its All for All Programme

Accessible tourism

24.10.2022

The All for All Programme of Turismo de Portugal was distinguished with the 1st prize awarded by the International Social Tourism Organisation (ISTO) in a ceremony that took place on 14 October 2022, in Ponta Delgada, during the ISTO World Congress. This was the first edition of these awards, which aim to recognise excellence in actions, initiatives, projects, programmes and research, underway or recently completed, as good practices and a way of inspiring the future of fair and sustainable tourism for all.

The All for All Programme, an initiative of Turismo de Portugal, aims to make Portugal an accessible tourist destination for all, responding to the individual needs of each visitor, offering a higher quality service, reinforcing its attractiveness and sustainability.

Its main focus: stimulate, inform, train and support all agents and entities that are part of the tourism chain, in three axes:

_ Adapt the supply
_ Train
_ Attract demand

Framed within the framework of fair and sustainable tourism for all, the programme fulfils the aims of ISTO, an organisation that promotes support for similar initiatives and makes other organisations aware of the importance of the social component of sustainability in tourism.
