Turismo de Portugal, Centro Nacional de Cultura (National Culture Centre) and the Caminhos de Fátima Association are promoting the ‘Caminhos de Fátima’ online training course, in collaboration with the Regional Tourism Entities of Porto and the North, Centre, Lisbon and Alentejo and Ribatejo. The action, consisting of three sessions, takes place on 17, 18 and 24 November and is aimed at tourism and culture experts, companies in the sector and entities involved in the promotion of pilgrimage territories and itineraries.
// A route of faith, culture and nature
The Paths of Fatima are one of the most important pilgrimage routes in Portugal, travelled every year by thousands of people looking for an experience of faith, spirituality and contact with nature. These itineraries link various parts of the country to the Sanctuary of Fátima, offering an experience of reflection and discovery of the territory. In addition to their religious significance, the Paths represent an opportunity to valorise the natural and cultural heritage of the regions, contributing to local development and diversifying the national tourist offer.
// Training to enhance territories
The action aims to train professionals in the management and promotion of the Paths of Fatima, fostering cooperation between public and private entities, as well as the involvement of tourism agents in the creation of integrated programmes and services. The sessions explore strategies for heritage valorisation, territorial integration and promotion at national and international level, sharing experiences and good practices that strengthen the link between the different territories.
By promoting an integrated vision of the Paths of Fatima, the initiative highlights the importance of combining culture, spirituality, territorial enhancement and sustainability, recognising these routes as a strategic resource for Portugal's tourism and cultural development. Participation in the event is free, subject to prior registration.
