Concerning the role of training for the qualification of human resources, Turismo de Portugal developed the Digital Academy, an online training platform (synchronous and asynchronous) which provides all professionals in the tourism sector with a wide range of training contents.

The Digital Academy also provides access to a set of MOOC's (Massive Open Online Courses) created directly by the Turismo de Portugal Schools, or available in partnership with other entities, which enable high quality self-training exercises. All the training provided in the Digital Academy is certified by Turismo de Portugal and delivered by the best national and international trainers.

The Turismo de Portugal's Tourism and Hospitality Schools also have a special regime exclusively for international students who want to attend their training courses.
This special application regime is exclusively for international candidates who:
_ do not have Portuguese nationality;
_ are not nationals of a member state of the European Union;
_ or have not resided in Portugal for more than two years without interruption.
