On the 8th of March 2021, the event Big Data enabling tourism competitiveness, gathers statistics experts, international organizations and tourism professionals to discuss the role of data in restoring tourism industry competitiveness, with a particular focus on the potential use of big data sources.
Access to new markets, development of tourism businesses and supporting destination management will be taken into consideration as unique opportunities to enhance a more resilient and sustainable Tourism.
The event conclusions will be presented to the Directors-General for Tourism, during the meeting scheduled by the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transition within the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
