World Travel Awards 2024: Portugal wins 31 awards at the European gala

Portugal won awards in 31 categories in the 31st edition of the World Travel Awards, for which the European Gala was held yesterday, in Berlin.

Madeira, Porto Santo, Lisbon, and Porto were voted European winners of the categories Leading Island Destination, Leading Beach Destination, Leading City Destination, and Leading Seaside Metropolitan Destination, respectively.  

Braga won the Emerging Tourism Destination award, and the Azores were considered the Leading Adventure Tourism Destination. The Passadiços do Paiva were once again named the World's Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction. TAP was considered Europe's Leading Airline to South America and Africa.

— Leading Design Hotel: 1908 Lisboa Hotel
— Leading Lifestyle Hotel: W Algarve
— Leading City Family & Wellness Resort: Pestana Palace Lisbon
— Leading Lifestyle Resort: Conrad Algarve
— Leading Luxury All-Suite Resort: Wyndham Grand Algarve
— Leading Luxury Business Hotel: Pestana Palace Lisbon
— Leading Luxury Boutique Hotel: Valverde Hotel, Lisbon
