Turismo de Portugal is a finalist in the Public Enterprise and/or State Public Sector – SPE with the best performance in People Management’ category at the 15th edition of the Human Resources Awards, which recognise organisations with best-practice approaches to people management in Portugal.
The Human Resources Awards cover 30 categories open to public voting. The selection of finalists is based on an assessment of best practices, initiatives and people management policies developed over the previous year, analysed by a panel of advisors from Human Resources magazine. The final decision rests with the public.
In this edition, four special awards will also be presented - Personality, Career, Communication in People Management and Most Inspiring - awarded directly by the magazine’s editorial team.
Turismo de Portugal has developed a people management strategy focused on well-being, professional development and the nurturing of talent. This strategy includes initiatives such as organisational well-being programmes, measures to support mental, physical and social health, initiatives to promote healthy habits, continuous development and training programmes, benefits policies, flexible working arrangements, internal mobility programmes and a culture of open and collaborative communication.
This approach was recognised in 2026 with the People Engagement Awards, which are awarded based on the results of the People Engagement Survey, developed by CEGOC in partnership with ISCTE Executive Education.
It should be noted that Turismo de Portugal won this award in 2023 in the same category, bringing its total number of nominations to seven.
